My book, The Kahuna and I: A Remarkable True Hawaiian Story, is a love story of two people who find each other in the autumn of their lives.

What twists and turns I took to begin life as a Philadelphia debutante, overcome great personal storms, follow my spiritual path 4,000 miles across the country and the Pacific Ocean to the tiny island of Molokai —and find what I was searching for my whole life.

Bill Kapuni was the great- great- great-grandson of Kamehameha III and a Hawaiian healer living off the ocean and land, guarding the ways of his people only as a Kahuna can. We wove a rich fabric of diverse colors - blending our two cultures, two races, two educations, and two socio-economic statuses together through mutual respect and deep love for one another.

This is our true story that I share with you.

I hope to try and pass on some of my healing and spiritual knowledge to others so that their awakening and discovering of their spiritual path might be a little easier.

Perhaps the most difficult to learn is to life without fear. We have so many fears during these material lives here on earth—the fear of death being the biggest one.
